1 - Integration: Science and Conscience Science has great achievements to its credit. It has enabled tremendous technological progress and benefited every human in one way or another. But with its overly materialistic and self-righteous approach, science has yet to find a meaning to the universe and a reason for our place in it. For centuries, scientists obsessed with measurement have forgotten the measurer. They have removed consciousness from their representation of the world, leaving aside the most essential aspect of life. This is all the more unexpected since, in last resort, consciousness is the only tool scientists themselves have had to apprehend the universe. Thanks to the quantum physics, however, researchers are discovering that forces at work around and within us are fundamentally the same. When we observe nature, we observe ourselves. We are not fish swimming in the cosmic ocean, we are waves of this ocean, an integral part of it. No doubt, this new millennium will see an integration of scientific knowledge and spiritual wisdom. Already, quantum, molecular and micro-biological sciences are detecting elements of the universal order described by Eternism. In this part, we shall first sum up todays widely accepted scientific model, then discuss this model in connection with the Eternon Theory. © Copyright 2000 Eternon International - All rights reserved |
